By using this site and the Services, in addition to any Additional Policies applicable to any particular features, content and functionality of the Services (incorporated into the Terms by reference), offered by Miil, users agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms of Service shall apply to free and paid Events organised by Miil Limited (hereinafter “Miil”) and available on the site for Participants.

By registering and participating in Events, the Participant fully accepts these Terms of Service.

Miil may amend the Terms at any time in our sole discretion by posting a revised version of the Terms. Unless we make clear otherwise, access to or continued use of the Services after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If we make any material change to these Terms, we will notify users by sending an email, posting a notice through the Services, or any other place(s) appropriate.

DEFINITIONS

Words or phrases commencing with a capital letter shall have the following meaning:

Event” refers to any free or paid event allowing Registrants and, if applicable, their Guests to meet in person.

Events Page” refers to a page on the site dedicated to a specific Event, containing a description of the Event and allowing people to register for it.

Guest” refers to any user who, without being a Registrant, may participate in Events following invitation from the Registrant.

Member” refers to a user enjoying access to one of the Services following registration on the site for free.

Non-Member” refers to an individual who is not a Member.

Participant” refers to a an individual registered to participate in an Event.

Registrant” refers to an individual who made payment and completed the registration for the Event.

Services” refers to all services, paid or free, accessible to Members and Non-Members provided on the site.

WHAT IS MIIL?

Miil is a Muslim dating website which organises friendly marriage events to enable the meetings of single, likeminded Muslims.

For many Muslims, modern dating methods simply don’t work. Most websites and apps are packed with people looking for casual relationships. But coming to a marriage event shows you’re committed to finding a husband or wife. Everyone in the room has made the same commitment.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) cover the terms on which you may use the site and conduct your business.

Please read these Terms carefully before you start to use the site. By using the site, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Notice. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

USER RIGHTS OF ACCESS

You have permission for temporary, non-exclusive use of the site. We reserve the right to withdraw or change the content of the site and these Terms and Conditions at any time without notifying you and without having any legal responsibility towards you.

You are not allowed to copy, modify, duplicate, create derivative works from, frame, mirror, republish, display, transmit, or distribute all or any part of the site.

You are also not allowed to license, sell, rent, lease, transfer, assign, distribute, display, disclose, or otherwise commercially exploit, or otherwise make the site and/or any documents or online resources on the site to any third party.

You are responsible for configuring your own computer and software to access the material and content on our site including downloadable files. We do not warrant that the way we deliver data to you is compatible with your software or with the way your mobile device, computer or tablet is configured. Although we do our best to protect our site, we are not responsible for any viruses, bugs or similar issues. We advise that you use your own virus protection software to protect yourself.

You must treat all identification codes, passwords and other security information that you obtain from use of the site and (where applicable) for you to access parts of the site, as confidential. If we think you have failed to keep confidentiality, we may disable any such information, including your passwords and other codes.

You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy.

If you allow anyone else to use our site, you must make sure that they read these Terms and Conditions first, and that they agree to and follow them.

If you do not use the site according to the law and these Terms and Conditions, we may suspend your usage, or stop it completely.

We frequently update the site and make changes to it, but we have no duty to do this. This means that content on the site may be out dated or incorrect. We will have no liability to you for any losses or damage you may suffer from your reliance on any of our materials.

We do not save your credit card details or share customer details with any third parties, unless when required to perform the Services, and we follow our Privacy Notice in handling information about you. By using the site, you agree to us handling this information and confirm that data you provide is accurate.

CONDITIONS FOR EVENT REGISTRATION

Both Members and Non-Members may register for Events.

Any Member who wishes to register for an Event may first log in on the site with the Events Page using his/her email address and confidential password.

Except in the event of wrongdoing exclusively attributable to Miil or technical failure of the Services, the Member will be responsible for the use of his/her confidential username and password or other identifiers by third parties or actions or statements made through the Member’s personal account, whether fraudulent or not, and will indemnify and hold Miil harmless against any claims in this respect.

Miil is not required and does not have the technical means to verify the identity of persons registering for its Services. If the Member has reason to believe that a person is using his/her username and password or account, that Member must immediately inform Miil by emailing info@miil.co.uk.

HOW TO REGISTER

  • In order to register for an Event, free or paid, a Member or Non-Member must:provide the necessary information for their registration on the Events Page;
  • read these Terms as well as any conditions specific to certain Events and fully accept them; and
  • pay in accordance with the conditions and price indicated in case of paid Events.

Non-Members will be given the option to become a Member and save their information to book future Events.

Miil will confirm the registration and/or purchase by sending a confirmation email, thus finalising the contract between Miil and the Participant.

Participant information for a chosen Event cannot be modified after confirmation of registration. Registrants should ensure that all the information displayed is the same as the information he/she provided.

INVITING GUESTS

Subject to availability, each Registrant may invite an unlimited number of Guests to the Event for which he/she has registered.
Only the Registrant enters into a contract with Miil. He/she must pay for participation of the Guests he/she has invited to the Event in accordance with the conditions and price applicable for the relevant Event.

When a Registrant provides the Guest’s information to Miil, including his/her first name, surname and email address, he/she undertakes to have previously obtained the express consent of the latter for this data to be processed by Miil in accordance with our Privacy Notice, and provides them under his/her sole responsibility.

The Guest’s information will only be used to send him/her an email informing him/her of the Event and the applicable conditions on behalf of the Registrant who provided their contact details to Miil.

MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

The holding of the Event may be subject to a minimum or maximum number of Participants, in accordance with the information provided if applicable on the relevant Events Page of the site.

If the minimum number of Participants for a specific Event is not reached, Miil reserves the right to cancel the Event and reimburse the Registrants in accordance with our modification policy below.

MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION OF AN EVENT BY MIIL

If, before the start of an Event, Miil is forced to postpone or modify the Event details (e.g. time, date, location), Miil will inform the Participant of this via email as soon as possible.

The Participant must respond to Miil with his/her decision regarding the modification at least 48 hours before the new Event date as indicated by Miil. If no reply is received within this time, the Participant will not have any right to a refund for the Event he/she registered for initially.

If the Participant refuses the modification of the Event, the Participant may terminate the contract by emailing info@miil.co.uk at least 48 hours before the new Event date. Refunds will be processed with no extra charge, if applicable, within 30 days.

If Miil is forced to cancel an Event, it shall inform the Participant of this by any means and reimburse, if applicable, the full amount paid by the Participant within 30 days.

PAYMENT

Prices for paid Events are displayed in British pounds sterling with all taxes included.

Registrants can pay the price of the Event for him/herself or his/her Guests by card or PayPal on the checkout page.

The processing of card payments is provided by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”) and are subject to the Stripe Terms of Service.

Registrants agree to be bound by the Stripe Terms of Service, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition to Miil enabling credit card payment processing services through Stripe, Registrants agree to provide Miil accurate and complete information, and you authorise Miil to share any such information with Stripe, as well as transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe. In all cases, standard credit card or other third party processing fees apply in addition to any Service Fees. We are not responsible for the performance of any third party credit card processing or third party payment services.

To pay through PayPal, Registrant must register to a new or use an existing PayPal account. The use of such payment method is covered by a separate contract between the Registrant and PayPal which already exists upon registering an account with them and agreeing to their terms of service. Such terms of service do not affect these Terms which are binding in itself. All service or transaction fee connected with the PayPal payment method shall be solely the responsibility of the Registrant.

REFUNDS

Miil offers a limited refund to Registrants up to 14 days before the Event. The card processing fee will not be refunded. If you wish to receive a refund, you must email us at info@miil.co.uk.

CONDITIONS FOR ACCESS AND PARTICIPATION IN EVENTS

Once registered for an Event, Participants may access the Event, provided they have met the conditions for registration and, if applicable, paid for the relevant Event.

Access to an Event may be refused to any individual not registered for this Event or for whom the registration or payment conditions have not been met prior to the start of the relevant Event or before the given deadline in order to validly register or whose behaviour is not suitable to the conditions of organisation of the Event or is contrary to public order, decency, health and safety conditions or appropriate behaviour for the relevant Event or is posing a risk for the decency or safety of a third party.

Moreover, certain venues or Events may be inaccessible to persons with disabilities or reduced mobility. Miil cannot undertake to provide the specific assistance required for these persons. Consequently, if the Participant would like to bring a chaperone, the Participant must ensure that the person accompanying him/her is also registered for the Event.

Finally, it is reiterated that when a Guest participates in an Event, he/she is deemed to have fully accepted these Terms.

CODE OF CONDUCT

We are dedicated to providing a welcoming and safe environment for all who attend our events.

Consequently, all Participants agree to follow our Code of Conduct:

  • Treat others with respect
  • Have appropriate conversations
  • Think of your safety and that of others during the Event
  • Do not engage in any harassment or discrimination against any person
  • Do not be rude, lewd or offensive
  • Do not cause any hassle during the Event
  • Do not resort to violent behaviour
  • Do not respond aggressively to rejection

In organising the Services, we have done our best to ensure the safety of the Participants. Participants remain entirely responsible for complying with our Code of Conduct and the health and safety recommendations provided by the venue where the Event is hosted.

Miil will not be held liable in any event for any loss or damage incurred by the Participants as a result of the actions, omissions or conduct of other Participants or other members of the public that occur before, during or after the Event, including, but not limited to, an incident or accident resulting from non-compliance with the Code of Conduct and/or the health and safety recommendations of the venue by one of the Participants or other member of the public or from a lack of vigilance or negligence of one of the Participants.

EXCLUSION OF A PARTICIPANT

The Participants understand that any behaviour occurring during an Event which is contrary to the Code of Conduct above, may result in a warning and/or the exclusion of the Participant from an Event, at the sole discretion of Miil or, if applicable, its subcontractor, risk to the physical or mental safety of the Participant or of third parties and harassment.

A Participants who has been excluded may not claim any refund.

Participants who have been excluded or issued a warning may be banned from attending future events, at Miil’s discretion.

Finally, Miil reserves the right to notify the competent authorities, if needed, if the behaviour of a Participant constitutes a disturbance to public safety or order.

LIABILITY

Miil makes no representations about the quality, safety, morality or legality of any Events. We do not become involved in disputes between users, or between users and any third party relating to the use of the Services.

You release us from all claims. When you use the Services, you release Miil from claims, damages, and demands of every kind – known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed – arising out of or in any way related to such disputes and the Services. All content that you access or use through the Services is entirely at your own risk and you are solely responsible for any resulting damage or loss to any party.

You acknowledge and agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the entire risk arising out of your access to and use of the Services, and any contact you have with other users or third parties remains with you.

Miil shall not be held liable for any modification or cancellation due to a force majeure event or for any damage of any kind, occurring during an Event and attributable to a Participant or a third party at the Event.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Miil, its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, and their officers, directors, employees, partners, contractors, representatives, agents, and third party providers from and against any and all claims, causes of action, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) and all amounts paid in settlement arising from or relating to, breach of these Terms or violation of any laws. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter for which you have agreed to indemnify us, and you agree to assist and cooperate with us as reasonably required in the defence or settlement of any such matters.

To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, Miil and its affiliates, licensors, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors and agents, disclaim all warranties, express or implied and any warranties that may arise.

COMPLAINTS

The Participant should contact Miil with any complaints as soon as possible and at least thirty (30) days from the date of the Event by emailing info@miil.co.uk.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Personal information or business information that you supply to us through the site, other than information that is in the public domain, will be treated confidentially and in line with our Privacy Notice. Confidential information will not be disclosed to any third party, including for the purposes of marketing, without your prior permission. We will only disclose your information if it is necessary for the performance of our services or where so required by law.

JURISDICTION

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any matters arising in connection to this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
